Saginaw Township Department Of Community Development
The Department of Community Development provides numerous services to the residents and business community of the Township. Services include issuing building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits, as well as conducting inspections of the same work; code enforcement, general planning, and development approvals. From time to time, and at the direction of the Planning Commission, Township Board, Township Supervisor and Manager, the Department may take on specific and or specialized projects and plans.
It is necessary to obtain the proper building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and/or zoning permits prior to starting a construction project. New buildings, alterations, remodeling, additions, demolitions, swimming pools, signs, window header modifictions, decks, fences and sheds require a permit. Necessary inspections must also be made.
