   Coed Softball Rules

    

   1. A normal lineup consists of 10 players composed of five men and five women.

   2. FEE REFUND POLICY: Team registration fees will be refunded in full provided request for refund is filed at least one week prior to the official closing date of registration. Request for refund filed in the last week of registration will result in forfeiture of 25% of team fee. Requests for refund filed after schedules are drawn or league season begins will result in 100% forfeiture of team fee.

   3. A team must have at least seven players to start and to continue a game. With seven, four must be female and three male; with eight, four must be female and four must male; with nine, four must be male and five female.

   4. When substitutes are used, a male player can nly replace a male and a female player can only replace a female. Regular re-entry rules apply.

   5. No hard sliding or rough play.

   6. ONE UMPIRE PER GAME.

   7. When a male batter is walked, the following batter has the option of being awarded first base or taking her regular turn at bat.

   8. Fifteen run "mercy" rule. (After five innings)

   9. Infielders will consist of one man on each side of the infield.

   10. If a team uses a male pitcher they must use a female catcher or vise-versa.

   11. Infielders are to play no closer to homeplate than the baselines between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd. (No playing up on the infield)

   12. Home team is responsible for keeping the official scorebook.

   13. Each team is to provide one red-stitched game ball per game.

   14. Alcoholic beverages on Saginaw Township Parks property are in violation of township ordinances and such violations are subject to suspension and/or arrest.

   15. All batters will begin with a one-ball, one-strike count.

   16. Outfielders must be at least 150' from home plate.
